Members of The Great White Campaign met for their monthly meeting today, joined by special guest Dr John Hall.

At our monthly meeting, Dr Hall shared with us a report from the Neurosurgial Society of Australasia on The Management of Acute Neurotrauma in Rural and Remote Locations and shared with us his extensive experience of delivering specialist health services outside capital cities.

Dr Hall also advised us on the critical nature of fast action in neurotrauma cases and the reasons why certain regional centers are unable or unwilling to act in cases of this nature.

Other items discussed at today's meeting included the possible use of funds raised for the provision of burr hole surgery medical equipment for remote hospitals and medical centers around Toowoomba city as well as for community and GP education events.

The meeting also passed a resolution to register as a charity with the Queensland Government under the provisions of the Collections Act 1966.
